Last night I had the strangest dream.

Rachel and I were hanging out.
We bought some
fat free vanilla ice cream
[which is weird because rachel doesn't really eat ice cream]
and some Dr. Pepper and made floats
in her moving car
as she drove us to Poppyseed
so I could grab my W2s.
[Which I still actually need to do, which sucks]

Soon enough we were on this crazy plane flying high above a city
She kept telling me she had to get back home.
The plane was shaped like a gigantic skyscraper
and half of it was on fire.
We stood outside on the wing of the plane
because it was so hot.
Going back inside her friend from London, Paul, was there
and soon enough a brawl of sorts broke out.
It was some sort of game that involved stabbing
a combination of knives through the center of
a red and white table.
Everyone survived the voyage.

I've been feeling a need to reinvent myself.
It makes me sad that I have let myself go so much.
That I've dropped most dreams, and have become generally really passive
about everything.
Times are way too simple now.

Lake Orion is a dead and dying town.

Your thought processes are assumed to be progressive,
but we all know that shit-talking is abundant when the cups are over-flowing,
and the night isn't over.

Some of us are uh...expecting a little more out of life.
We're moving out, moving on.
In September I expect to be in a car full of the coolest kids you'll ever meet, heading west.
And yeah, I have no fucking clue what I'm going to do with my life,
but I'd much rather figure it out elsewhere.
This is a washed up place, full of washed up people.
What the fuck is the point in hanging out every! fucking! night!?
Let's sit in the same room that we did the night before and watch tv,
talking about nothing like it were something.
Unimpressive isn't the right word, but it's the first word that comes to mind.
And tolerance was never actually necessary.
